How do you track my child’s progress?
How will I know my scholar is learning what they need to learn?
Our curriculum partner Prenda takes a very data-driven learning approach. Instead of waiting for letter grades every quarter, you’ll know day-to-day exactly where your child is in relation to the goals that we will all work together to set. You’ll have a parent portal and you’ll get weekly reports that allow you to see how your child is progressing in their academics, hands-on learning, and how they are feeling about learning.
Our Academy also believes in the constructivist approach that helps students expand their learning with a deeper purpose, using proven methods such as Project based learning, self-paced progression,
Project Based Learning or “PBL” involves learners in hands-on projects that require critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. Project-based learning encourages them to apply their knowledge in real-world contexts, fostering an experiential understanding of concepts. Your learner gains practical skills and experiences that are directly applicable to real-life situations, preparing them for future challenges and careers.
What is self-paced progression?
Self-paced progression allows each learner to advance through the curriculum at their own speed, mastering each concept before moving on to the next. This ensures that learners fully understand and internalize each concept before progressing, leading to a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the material.
Your learner is not rushed through the curriculum or delayed, but instead has the time and flexibility to truly grasp each concept. This promotes greater retention and long-term understanding. This approach also enriches a sense of autonomy and responsibility for their own learning journey.
